Climate Seminars

Series, now in its second year, starts 15 March
Climate Seminars

An international seminar series on weather and climate will launch into its second season on 15 March, offering a rich agenda of talks by leading climate experts.

The series, titled "Weather and Climate: From Fundamentals to Applications", is organised jointly by ICTP, the University of Trento (UniTN) and the University of L'Aquila (UniAQ) and aims to present the current state of research in the field. Drawing on the expertise of 10 researchers, the seminars will span basic theory, idealized and realistic modelling, through to applications of climate and weather in sectors that include health, agriculture, energy and the economy. The seminars are open to all who are interested in climate and weather and are intended to be accessible to all levels from undergraduate students to senior scientists in the field.

The dates, times and titles of the seminars are listed below; abstracts of the talks are available here. Pre-registration is required to attend the online seminars. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. All meetings are scheduled on Tuesdays at 15:30 UTC+1 (CET/Rome)
