Three ICTP scientists will be representing us at Trieste's 'Pint of Science' event next week, a public science festival where scientists bring their enthusiasm about science to the general public in the informal setting of a pub. The event takes place over the course of three days, from Monday May 20 to Wednesday 22 May. All talks are in Italian, and each evening's events begin at 19:30.
Physics, biotechnology, ecology, marine biology, astrophysics, computer science, social networks, and even history: researchers and students will be presenting on a wide range of topics, animating four pubs in Trieste. ICTP's own Matteo Marsilli, Marina Cobal, and Francesco Muia will join 24 other scientists from other Trieste science institutes in bringing their science to the local public. Their talks will cover complexity, cosmology, and particle physics, great accompiaments for pub food.
For the full program, including details about the talks and locations of the pubs, visit the Trieste Pint of Science website (https://pintofscience.it/events/trieste) or check the attached.
