A Longstanding Collaboration

ICTP and IAEA organise the tenth Nuclear Knowledge Management School
A Longstanding Collaboration

The collaboration between ICTP and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to build sound nuclear knowledge foundations has been a long and sustainable one. This year will mark the 10th edition of the Nuclear Knowledge Management (NKM) School, which will run from 25 August to 29 August 2014 at ICTP. The one-week school is designed to give participants deeper insights into nuclear knowledge management, policy-making, and building human resources in the field.

This year, 47 participants (young professionals from the nuclear field) from 33 countries have been selected based on their qualifications, skills, abilities, experience, and their performance on an online pre-training course test.

Over the last decade, the NKM School has trained more than 300 young professionals from all over the globe. With more and more countries trying to build and manage sustainable nuclear programmes, the school has seen a steady increase in the number of applications from the all over the world.
