I was an assistant professor at the National University of San Luis (UNSL), Argentina, until 2000.
I got a PhD in Computer Science from UNSL in 2004, completing 500 hours of postgraduate courses with examination and developing my thesis at ICTP in collaboration with the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN). The PhD thesis was on real-time data acquisition and processing of the 83000-channel RICH-1 detector of COMPASS experiment at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).
I was a postdoc fellow at INFN from 2001 to 2002, and a postdoc at ICTP from 2005 to 2007.
I am currently an associate research officer at ICTP (STI MLab) and a member of the faculty of ICTP. I am also an associate researcher of INFN and a member of the COMPASS/AMBER collaboration at CERN.
I have organized more than 30 international schools and workshops, and supervised several postgraduate and PhD students.
I am co-author of more than 100 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
